We live in a society where every piece of news, image, video or thought must be fast and brief. Life becomes a synthesis of simple concepts – too simple – whose sole purpose is to capture attention in the shortest time possible.

Bombshell news written in a flash, often not even written, requested with a click from one's OWN trusted artificial intelligence: minimum effort, maximum yield, as long as IT captures attention.

A dense network of information and disinformation beyond the limits of chaos.
Hard to distinguish the true from the false.
Everything is filtered through screens: televisions, phones, tablets, smart glasses... brains off. Services created ad hoc to entertain and turn people into digital zombies.

The intent is no longer objective information, but TO shape the news to make it viral.

A social world, the Scrolling Population: that thumb scrolling upwards endlessly, an infinite regurgitation of tailor-made content for screens.

Texts? What texts? Words fade away, replaced by memes easy to decipher and read in an instant. Speaking with one's own voice is a risk few dare to take anymore.

And what do we have left?!
ART!

Art is the strongest means at our disposal still free, free from the censorships of our era in which everything is permitted.

this is why FLABINGO is born, to give voice to those who want to speak, express themselves or simply exist.

Art is perhaps the last weapon in our possession, the last glimmer of hope, the deep nourishment of the senses to look at the world with different eyes.

We want to tell what freedom is for us.
Free from politically correct preconceptions and pre-built narratives. No filters.
A journey of which everyone can be part, listen, read and share.

Contemporary art is often told through press releases, cold and characterless institutional writings, hype and neutral narratives.
This space instead is born to observe the system from the inside, tell it and criticize it when needed.

We will talk about exhibitions, fairs and events seen on the ground with critical eyes; artists to discover and interviews; connections between art, design and contemporary thought.

Not an archive. Not a showcase.
A space for observation and taking a stand with direct and uncompromising opinions.
If you're looking for a different point of view, you're in the right place.
Welcome to FLABINGO.
